On July 14th, students enrolled in an ecology exploration program in Charlotte, NC, visited Folly. It was good timing. On a beach walk with Paula, they found a new loggerhead nest (#33) in the area near the old Coast Guard Station. Under Paula's guidance, they assessed whether the nest was in a safe location, and learned about egg handling and the life cycle of sea turtles.

A second group of Eco-Explorers visited on August 4th for Nest #55. We hope to be able to post photos of them soon.
