Turtle traffic ran us down! Trying to catch-up here with June to mid-July photos and stories.

Nest 21
Erin’s nest — neither the turtle nor Erin gave up on this one!
Excellent placement on the dune by Momma Turtle and excellent probing and persistence by Erin.
Eggs confirmed and protected!

Nest 23 and 24
Great team effort coordinated by Sharon. Thanks for letting us join in!
Sharon, Cindy, Linda and Nancy put these TWO new side-by-side nests into new locations to protect them from high tides.

Nest 26
Linda G’s first clutch find! Super job probing, finding, and bucketing 124 eggs for relocation.
This nest was laid amongst a long line of black sand and wrack that had accumulated at the base of a badly eroded dune.
It was a difficult chamber to find, but it didn’t deter Linda’s determination. Excellent find!

Nest 27
Good news! No relocation necessary!
Momma Turtle found a wonderful site and laid a she’ll-tell-us-later number of eggs.
